Tax, Estate, Elder, Related Planning and Administration
|
Dan was a single guy living at home with his father and
working in the family business. When he found out that he was going to inherit a fortune
when his sickly father died, he decided that he needed a wife with whom to share his fortune.
One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away. "I may look like just an ordinary man," he said
to her, "but in just a few years, my father will die, and I'll inherit 20 million dollars."
Impressed,
the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she became his stepmother.
Women are so much better at estate planning than men.- Joke of the Month From Nita Hunt of Brevard

Using graduate business education from Duke University and the University of
South Carolina, with an emphasis in business strategy, planning and accounting and a Master of Taxation attained after her
Juris Doctor, and using over 22 years of being a licensed attorney, and her experience as a businesswoman and as a non-profit
executive director, Jeanne Hall (supported by a strong, educated staff) works in almost every area of business law and
has litigated several business and construction cases. Her family has been in the construction
industry since after WWII. She grew up in a successful entrepreneurial family, so has used these "life" lessons in her practice as well. Therefore, at Plowden
Hall Law Firm, PLLC we practice in most areas of business law including the following list. While we believe 100% in litigation
prevention, we can provide related complex litigation services if required in North Carolina. Business Formations/Incorporations/LLCs, and Annual Compliance, etc. Business Tax Planning Certain areas of Employment Law/Benefits/ERISA Copyrights/Trademarks/Servicemarks Certain areas of related Antitrust/Regulatory/Administrative law Shareholder, Partner or LLC Member Rights &

LLC Manager Rights, Duties and Third Party Liability Exposure Facilitation of Commercial Transactions Conflict/Risk Management Systems (Operations/Personnel/Documents) Certain Business Sales & Acquisitions Transactional Legal Opinions (in certain areas) Family and Small Business Planning Certain Areas of Related Constitutional Law and
Securities Law (General & Private Offerings) General
and Limited Partnerships Crisis
Management Services as to the Legal Issues and Problem-Solving Facilitation Certain Areas of Employment Law Related to this is the practice of land use and/or environmental law. Because of Jeanne
Hall's experience with the Town of Mt. Pleasant NY and working with her former partner, David
Neumann at Neumann & Hall, Attorneys at Law, PLLC (who represented Transylvania County for many years and
still does so), and with mediating/facilitating several related matters in South Carolina, Jeanne has been exposed to these
issues and dealt with them substantively since 1983. Plowden Hall also offers services that concern: conservation
easements (documents and compliance); constitutional issues; reviews and opinions as to land use regulations and applications
or denials; and other matters related to the use, restrictions, and encumbrances of real property. We
also provide real property litigation prevention services, because of our our commitment to the fact that no case should
be litigated except a criminal case. If necessary, we can provide related litigation services, but our goal is to help
our clients do what is reasonably necessary to avoid litigation in NC.

At the very heart of Plowden Hall Law Firm, PLLC, is the commitment to helping
"people" who are our clients, through preventive and dispute resolution tools that avoid the court system,
and if possible even avoid having a person (arbitrator/neutral evaluator) to decide the fate of people (government employees,
arbitrators, etc.). Very few attorneys have the training and skills and certifications to provide these services in the
context of the other areas of law practiced here at Plowden Hall. Our small town approach allows
us to provide these services outside of a larger law firm where there may be more than one attorney with whom a client must
work to get these.
